Cambridge English Learner Courses
Cambridge English Learner Courses have been taught at SILC Since 2005 – 2006 academic year and have now polished and enriched hundreds of young learners’ English 4 – Skills, making their approach to English, effective with confidence.
Our year round English courses are designed to enable pupils to sit for the Cambridge English Examinations (YLE) under the umbrella of British council, Myanmar. It is compulsory for all fresher pupils to take the placement test in order to be at the most appropriate level for them.
Starting from the Preparation levels 1,2 and 3, Starters, Movers ,Flyers, KET and PET courses are taught from June to February at Weekends. Summer English 4 – Skills courses are conducted from March to May. Once the Flyer Level is successfully completed, they are ready to move forward to Cambridge English Tests: A2 (KET, Key English Test) and B1 (PET, Preliminary English Test).
Hard work of the dedicated & qualified teachers and the zest of the pupils complements each other in such a way that the Summit Team is proud to have witnessed the smiles of its most pupils with their certificates filled with full shields every year.
International Standard Pre-School
Summit International Standard Pre-School, established in 2005, provides a fun, friendly and challenging learning environment for children in the age range of 2-6 years old.
We provide and encourage our little ones with everything they need in order to have fruitful and valuable experiences from an early age. When their little hands, curious minds and big imaginations are combined with our well-equipped, positive and challenging school environment, they turn out to be extraordinary students.
Special Considerations
If desired, “A Two Week Trial Period ” is given to a new preschooler to help parents to make the right decision.
A certified blue nurse is assigned to take care of sick persons before they are sent home or sent to the clinic as required.
Teachers see that snack or lunch brought to school is healthy enough. If not, the office contacts the parents based on the note from the teachers.
PE time is carried out with proper materials and activities as it is one of the important parts of school life, making them afresh, happy and healthy.
Educational field trips are one of the essentials for kids during their life-long learning journey. They have fun while trying to experience what have been taught in class. Parents consent is required as it is an out of school premise activity.
We use Letterland for teaching phonics. It is a story-based approach which activates every learning channel through music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art , games and of course role-play.
